Chinese scientist Yuan Longping, Known as the "father of hybrid rice," has died at the age of 91.

Yuan Longping is renowned not only for helping to feed one-fifth of the world's population with limited farmland in China, but also for his contribution in fighting hunger worldwide.

Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu has completed a lights-to-flag win in the first sprint race of the Formula 2 championship weekend at Monaco.

Zhou started from pole position and cruised to victory despite a late safety car.

Zhou became the first Chinese driver to win an F2 race at Sochi last year. The 21-year-old is leading this season's F2 drivers' championship by 11 points.
